Composed by E-glass fabric impregnated with epoxy or other special kinds of resin, processing under high temperature and pressure for certain time to cure into the rigid laminate. Having good mechanical properties, heat resistance and very tight thickness tolerance. Then machining these different rigid laminates into different dimensions of slot wedge for motor and generator.
The stator of a motro or generator is usually designed and constructed with open slots. Windings (bars or coils) are inserted into the stator core and then fixed with the magnetic or non-magnetic slot wedges which are being used as slot closures to hold the stator windings in the slots formed between the stator teeth.
Slot wedges made of magnetic material are a significant means to improve the efficiency of a motor or generator can transform magnetic circuit, improve the electromagnetic properties and working efficiency, reduce motor loss and noise, control temperature rising and save more energy.
